Chapter 5 Nova Bay Resort
- Given how wealthy and powerful Tario was, few could match his superior temperament.
- Subsequently, Jaymore descended from the peak of Cloudcairn Mountain.
- Ring! Ring!
- Jaymore's phone rang.
- Pulling out his phone, he then saw that it was his wife, Chelsea, on the line. "Honey, do you need anything?"
- "I'm in a private room at Nova Bay Resort. Come join me." With that, Chelsea immediately ended the call.
- Jaymore hailed a cab to Nova Bay Resort without hesitation.
- Meanwhile, at Nova Bay Resort, the only five-star establishment in Walstino, Chelsea was dining with a few of her companions in a private room.
- One of the women, Chelsea's close friend named Maddy Barnett, inquired, "Chelsea, has your supposed husband returned?"
- Today was her birthday, which was what prompted her to invite Chelsea for a meal.
- Upon learning that Chelsea's husband had returned, she insisted on inviting Jaymore to join them.
- "Gosh!" Chelsea sighed softly. "I wonder what Grandpa was thinking when he forced me to marry that loser. Now that he's back after staying at the border for five years, I'm surely going to divorce him!"
- With a shake of her head, Maddy commented, "Chelsea, I say, you are the Belle of Walstino. How could you marry a loser? Take my husband, for example. He's tall, handsome, and the son of the Shaw Family in Walstino. Your loser husband is nothing compared to him."
- Maddy had deliberately invited Chelsea over to exert her superiority.
- They were classmates in college, but Chelsea had always overshadowed Maddy with her beauty.
- Chelsea found Maddy's remark to be bothersome.
- Maddy's husband, Declan Shaw, was the eldest son of the prestigious Shaw Family.
- His family ranked among the top five families in Walstino, surpassing even the Moore Family.
- Jaymore arrived a while later.
- Upon entering the private room, he immediately spotted Chelsea.
- "Honey!" He approached her with a beaming smile.
- However, Chelsea's expression contorted when she saw him.
- Sitting beside her, Maddy glanced at Jaymore and sneered. "So, you're Jaymore Reed."
- Basically, everyone in Walstino had heard about Jaymore's reputation. He was a freeloader and a disgrace to men.
- "I'd say, Jaymore. You were once a wanderer whom Chelsea's grandpa took pity on and allowed you to marry into the Moore Family. Now that Chelsea's grandpa has passed and you are clearly unworthy of her, I suggest you get divorced soon. You should stop holding Chelsea back." Maddy's words were harsh and sarcastic from the moment she started speaking.
- "Maddy, stop that." Chelsea frowned upon hearing Maddy's cruel remarks.
- Despite her disdain for Jaymore, he was still her husband, and listening to her friend speak ill of him made her feel upset.
- "Whether I am deserving of Chelsea is our concern, not yours," Jaymore replied, unfazed.
- "Why you!"
- His response surprised Maddy, and she was at a loss for words.
- Unwilling to pay any more attention to Maddy, Jaymore found a seat, but right then, he spotted a beautiful woman sitting next to Chelsea.
- The woman, whom Jaymore immediately recognized as Chelsea's other best friend, was named Kelsey Clark.
- The woman had a stunning figure and was particularly busty.
