Chapter 32

• I woke up to a sensation in my chest. When I opened my eyes, I realized it was Scarlet's fingers making a circling motion. I looked at her and noticed she was still asleep but smiling like a child played by their angels in their dreams. If I could wake up to this every morning, I’d gladly get out of bed, no matter how bad the day might be.
• Her head was still resting on my arm, so I gently pulled her closer and planted a soft kiss on her head. If only I could make time stop right now, I would. But I knew that wasn’t possible, so I might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
