• I’ll admit that my feelings for Dante have changed. They’re no longer as intense as before, and no matter how much I try to deepen them, I just can’t. Maybe it’s already written all over my face and obvious in my actions now that we’re together.
• I told Xavier I was meeting Dante because I wanted to discuss this with him. I don’t want him to keep hoping we’ll still be together. Although I know he’s a reasonable and understanding person. I also know he understands the consequences of what we agreed upon. That’s why he said that if we don’t find our mate, he’s still giving me the chance to go with or choose my mate when the time comes.
