Chapter 25 Twenty-five
- POV Isabella:
- Sitting in my room, I spread out on the bed all the memories that could bring my father down. They are not physical papers, but memories, conversations overheard, documents glimpsed in his office. I take the little notebook Marco gave me and start writing down dates, names, and places.
- Every word I write is a stab at the family loyalty instilled in me since childhood, but it is also a step toward my freedom. My hand trembles, but I don't stop.
