• Natalie had been calling Ashton but to no avail. She had wished that, somehow, they'd be able to spend some time together in Paris, but she hadn't even been able to reach him for the past four days of her stay.
• She felt lonely, sad, hurt... Roan was still not taking her calls. She had looked forward to a good time here but guessed she'd never get it.
• Picking up her luggage, she looked around the room one more time. Memories of Roan came flooding in.
