• Roan had been asking Natalie how the meeting had gone, but Natalie hadn't said a word to him yet. The drive back to the hotel was quiet. Roan figured out she needed some time to herself.
• The moment they entered their hotel room, Natalie slipped into the bathroom for a quick shower. Emerging, she wore a simple but provocative white dress that hugged her figure, its hem ending high above her knees. Her long, curly, ebony hair fell in loose waves over her shoulders, accentuating her delicate beauty.
• "I need some air. I'll be outside," she said, heading towards the door.
