• The elevator hummed as it ascended, but Natalie was lost in the intensity of Roan's gaze. He pressed his body against hers, his hands sliding down to her hips, pulling her flush against him. The hard planes of his chest, the muscular arms enveloping her, it was intoxicating.
• Roan's mouth hovered over hers, teasing, tantalizingly close. "Do you want this, Natalie?" he asked, his voice a rumble that sent shivers down her spine.
• "Yes," she whispered, her eyes closing, her lips parting in anticipation.
