• The drive home was awfully quiet. Natalie's heart felt like it would rip off her chest any moment. She'd had too many surprises for one night.
• Ashton sat with her in the back seat, paying attention to his phone. He hadn't said a word to her yet about what she had just seen. Instead, he only asked her to get in the car so they could go home.
• Ashton decided to sit in the living room for a while. He wasn't comfortable with the silence in the bedroom. He needed to unwind.
