• An unwelcome guest.
• The house felt unusually quiet that morning. As Daniela paced in the living room, Restless in Alexander's absence. He had left for Abuja at dawn, leaving her with an unsettled loneliness she couldn't quite shake. She had busied herself with little tasks, holding the pillows, rearranging the vase of Fresh lilies Alexander had sent her last week. The stillness of the mansion only amplified her worries,though She couldn't say Why.
• A loud knock echoed through the hall, scaring her.Frowning, Daniela peeped at the clock.It was too early for Visitors, and the maid was upstairs attending to the clothes in the washing machine. She hesitated before walking to the door, her hand hanging over the handle. When she opened it,a tall striking woman stood outside. She was dark in complexion and had black hair and she had beautiful lips. The air around her seemed to buzz around with the smell of perfume over her. She held a designer bag in one hand, her other resting casually on her hip.
