Chapter 42
- Stephanie was in the room next to his and he couldn't concentrate or drag his thoughts away from the fact that he wanted nothing more than to see her face again and engage in yet another witty banter with her.
- Jaccobs should find it disrespecful and irritating and maybe he did in the beginning but these days, he had come to rely on her spunk and fire to never shake, never cower, never shrink back in fear from him like most people did. He had come to learn to use her like a crutch.
- In his line of business and being so high on the influential ladder, it was hard finding out people that really liked and respected you or were just playing nice because they needed favours from you. So, he had come to respect Stephanie a whole lot than he would ever admit he did. She was honest to a fault, baring her heart out. What she said what was she felt. There was no bullshit about her. She had come to be a fresh of air in his life. Losing her was not something he was keen on.
