Chapter 50
- As the sun dipped low in the sky, casting a soft golden glow over the city, Charlotte settled onto her couch, a sense of peace enveloping her after an eventful day with Leo. After enjoying ice cream and laughter at the playground, she had returned home, her heart full. Yet, just as she began to unwind, her phone buzzed with an incoming message from Janine.
- “Hey, Charlotte! I’ve got a plan! You need a night out. Let me take care of Leo tomorrow evening. You’re going on a blind date!”

It had been a while since she’d considered dating, and the thought of someone new, especially in a romantic context, set her heart racing for all the wrong reasons.
