• "What are you still waiting for? Give them what they want and bring my son back to me" Annabelle cried as soon as Hazel dropped the news on what the kidnappers want
• Hazel had gone to her house to give her the latest update about Melvin's disappearance but for the life of him, he could not fathom why he did it.
• "Ten million dollars is quite some money" he replied even though he knows he can comfortably afford the money. He just felt uneasy about the whole thing, what if someone was trying to take advantage of the situation and demanding money from him, for all they know, his son might not be kidnapped but lost somewhere and he just needs to find out where he is. He didn't hesitate to let Anabelle know about his thoughts.
