Chapter 24
- Sofia Reeds POV:
- Adrian dropped the chainsaw abruptly, the noise ceasing as the machine hit the ground with a thud that vibrated through the concrete floor. His eyes, still gleaming with a twisted delight, returned to the box. He picked up the pliers again, the metal glinting under the harsh lights, and turned back to me with a slow, deliberate pace that made my heart pound even harder.
- He approached, each step echoing like the toll of doom in my ears. I tried to pull away, to move, but the ropes held me fast, my arms stretched out, making me an easy target for his cruelty. The smell of gasoline mixed with the metallic tang of fear, my body trembling with every breath I took.
