Chapter 34 James

I think I feel a lot better knowing that An is not going to be back until evening. It lessened my chances of passing out with the tension I feel right now. If only Jamila knows how grateful I am. I spoke to her yesterday after getting her number from Remi. I filled her in on my plans for tonight. She is the reason Annie is currently in the salon getting her hair done and having a manicure and pedicure. I asked her yesterday if Annie had any plans of going out today and she outrightly confirmed that she had no intentions of going anywhere today. I had to plead with Jamila to come up with anything to make her go out.
After so much plea, Jamila was eventually able to convince Annie with the idea of a free saloon appointment fully sponsored by her. I did return the money after she told me the cost in total. I paid for hers too, a way of thanking her. I couldn't have pulled all these without her help.
I planned a three-course meal. For starters, Spicy Cajun chicken parcels then the main course, Beef wellington served with roasted potatoes and stir fry veggies. Lastly, for dessert, apple and brandy crumble served with ice cream. I take one more look at the already set table and smile. All made from these hands well except the wine currently chilling in a bucket of ice. I bet after eating this food, she wouldn't hesitate to acknowledge my intentions towards her. I would acknowledge my intentions to myself after tasting the dishes before me.
