• My door pushes open and Edwin steps in. He is my beta and one of the strongest wolves in the pack. When I became alpha of the pack and a war broke out, he was the one who made sure I was safe when the powers were conflicting in my body. A female wolf has never been raised in our clan so it was like a taboo when I emerged. I still remember how I held my father’s heart in my hand on the day I became alpha and how my mother wailed like I had done something wrong. The memory still hunts me and it’s something I never want to forget in my life. It is my driving force, the thought that has kept me going for the years which I have been the alpha of our pack.
• “You really don’t know how to knock right?” I ask the man who had just entered and he only rolls his eyes to the back of his head. Aside from being my beta, he is also one of the closest people to me and well, he used to be my crush until he found his mate. That was then though, we are only friends now.
