ZACHARY’s POV
From the moment her car pulls up in front of the cafe, I see her alight and start making her way into the cafe. My lips curl into a tiny smile. I am smitten by this woman, I can’t even lie. How did I let go of someone like her? Why did I fumble her when the only thing I want to do is be with her. The more she covers the distance between us, the more I want to pull her into my embrace but Bryer’s words become fresh in my head again.
“Don’t fall in love with me, Zachary” those were her words and up until now, I am still in awe of her words. Why would she say that? Why would I even fall in love with her when I have Odette? It still doesn’t make sense to me no matter how much I think about it. Me, in love with Bryer? It is the most cliché thing I have ever heard in my life.
