Chapter 16

• Zachary could feel his heart being squeezed in his chest. He couldn't breathe. The sight was too painful for him to see, yet he couldn't look away. Something deep inside him was telling him he shouldn't tear his eyes away from them, no matter how heart-wrenching it was.
• Kathryn had her head down while the tall, slender man was hugging her. It seemed like a friendly gesture, but because everybody had already spread the gossip Chad and Kathryn was a thing, they thought of it as romantic.
• They weren't people around though. It was just Zachary. He thought of it as romantic. Romantically cruel and painful for his own two eyes to see.
