My mother, or should I former mother tears up at my slips up and rushes towards me. Before I could react, she pulls me into her embrace and my body stiffens in response.
‘’You’re alive....You’re truly alive....’’ She sobs softly, her shoulders trembling along with her cries. I didn’t know how to react to this unexpected development. As far as I’m concerned, she has always been cold towards me after that incident.
How come she was hugging me now? Was my initial assumption wrong? Did my family....at least one of them...ever missed me?
