• I moaned softly, my eyes fluttering open to meet a fleeting glimpse of a figure by the door. Still disoriented from deep sleep, I shut my eyes and rolled onto my side, trying to continue my peaceful rest. But suddenly, it hit me - someone was in the room with me. My eyes snapped open, and I sat up with a start, my heart racing. I didn't need to recognize the intruder; I just let out a loud, shrill cry, enough to wake the neighbors.
• "Shh!" The figure hushed, approaching me. As I took a closer look, I realized it was Lorenzo. What was he doing here? Wasn't he supposed to be sleeping in the sitting room? How long had he been watching me?
