• I opened my eyes to find myself in a hospital room, surrounded by unfamiliar beeping machines and sterile white walls. My mind was foggy as I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my head, making me wince. "Where am I?" I whispered, confusion etched on my face.
• The door burst open, and my sister, Thelma, rushed in, tears streaming down her face. "Eva, oh my goodness, I was so worried about you! Why didn't you call me to tell me you had been kidnapped?"
