Chapter 34

• He offered me a sit which I did. I sat down on the couch. It was soft though. Just then bad memories began to rush back at me. I remembered how I almost got raped by one of the guards here on this same couch when I waited for Desmond to come back home on an afternoon.
• That time his mom was out of town so he invited me to come to his house. Eventually, he never made it. I was saved from the stupid guard by one of the maids that I know.
• Memories of how I screamed so hard engulfed me. I instantly got up from the couch and hot tears dropped on my cheek. Wait, I shouldn't even be crying. I can't be crying like this. The poor had no say then. If you are rich, you will be respected. If you are poor, you will be disrespected and walked all over. You will be treated like trash like you don't belong to someone.
