Chapter 43

• Suddenly we heard someone coughing and tore away from each other, breathing hard to catch our breaths and turned to the door. It was Daniel and Edna staring at us with amusement laced in their eyes "if someone told me I'd see Asher this way someday, I'll disagree" Daniel told Edna as they both acted oblivious to us both and went to grab their breakfast and made a cup of coffee each for each other before retiring to the dining room. I shared a knowing look with Maya and we laughed as I helped her down the counter and we took our breakfast, made our coffee and went to the dining room too.
• Maya sat beside Edna opposite me at the dining and smiled at me. She then turned to Edna and they began talking in hushed tones and giggling like teenage girls while glancing at me in between… They were obviously talking about me.
• "You really like her don't you" Daniel said and I nodded while taking a bite of my pancake "too much" I corrected and sent a goofy smile his way. He smiled too and stabbed his pancake "it's obvious though, you two can't take your hands off each other for even a minute" he teased and we laughed; Edna and Maya laughed at the same time so we exchanged looks and Maya winked at me.
