CHAPTER 6

  • Emily couldn't help but into her lower lip as Kelvin tightened his grip onto her hand whilst leading her into the corridor of the mansion.
  • Her nervous eyes glanced around the hall just to make sure Jason wasn't going to spot her with Kelvin. A man she really didn't know who was to become her mate for the rest of her life. Not that it matters whether you know the mate-to-be or not, it was entirely up to you to choose whom you wanted to end up with and you would face the consequences on your own. It was purely your own choice.
  • "Let's take this room. It's not occupied right now." Kelvin said as he peeped into one of the room preserved for her mating ceremony. He stepped into the large room with a king sized bed at the center of it all. On the ground lay fresh petals of blood red roses and some scented candles sat at countless places around the room, giving the room a fresh vanilla scent with a warm orange glow as the bulb had been turned off before setting everything up. The beddings were completely white and so were the curtains. The entire room itself was made to perfection, just for Emily since they had hoped this would be the day she found her mate.
  • She stepped in after Kelvin and walked towards the bed, marveling the detail they had so desperately made to show the gratitude for their daughter in becoming a woman.
  • Kelvin closed the door behind him and sighed as he glanced over to Emily who remained staring at the candles and rose petals, mesmerized at the scent and the aura of the room all together. This was undoubtedly a romantic atmosphere to trigger their emotions. It was just set to perfection and they knew exactly what they were doing when decorating the room.
  • Kelvin reached to the zipper of his jacket and pulled it down before taking the jacket off his broad shoulders. The sound of the zipper filled Emily's ears, alerting her that it was the moment she had to follow his actions and take of her clothes as well.
  • She didn't bother turning to him as she trembled a bit while she reached for the edges of her dress. The sound of the metal on his belt sparked an alarm once more and she took in a sharp breath, shutting her eyes for a moment before pulling the dress over her thighs and eventually, over her head with hardly anything underneath, since she had been told to do so.
  • Her knees began to shake as she crawled onto the bed, feeling a bit of nausea rest at the back of her throat. She stopped where the pillows began and lay down, slowly turning to face the ceiling. A shaky breath escaped her lips as she stared straight at the bulb that had been turned off.
  • Suddenly, flashbacks of her haunting days suddenly began to whisper back into her ear, only to force a gasp out of her mouth when she felt the bed sink at the her feet. She got onto her elbows to see what it was when it was dimply Kelvin making his way towards her.
  • A nasty grin spread across his face as his eyes racked over her body, studying her exposed self.
  • "My, my, Emily." He chuckled as he hovered over her, placing both his arms beside her head to support him. "You're not just the daughter of an alpha, you're also a work of art. Did anyone ever tell you that?" He asked softly as he stared into her uncertain eyes.
  • "I've.... I've never been with a man before." She said in a mummer as she glanced elsewhere. "S-So no one would tell me...."
  • "Oh. That's interesting." He chuckled and leaned from her and onto his knees to where her legs were. "Don't worry. I'll be gentle on you." He grinned wider than he did before as he slid his fingers from her ankles up to her knees, making her shudder a bit.
  • "Y-You know what.... On second thought, I c-can do it." Her voice came out weak as the taunting nightmares ate back at her, refusing to let go this time. She sat up and reached her hand over to grab Kelvin's wrist on her knees. "I'm not ready."
  • "You're twenty five now." Kelvin said with a frown as he stared at her. "It's your birthday and your last chance at mating. You seriously can't say you're not ready now."
  • "I'm sorry." She frowned as she tightened her grip on his wrist. "Please let me go."
  • "I'm going to mark you now, don't try to run from it. You're only afraid because it's your first time, but you'll feel at ease once you're half way through it." He said as he shoved her back, causing her to fall back and hit her back against the bed once more, gazing at the ceiling in terror. He quickly hovered over her before she could get up again. "I told you not to worry. I'll be gentle."
  • "But I can't-" she was just short as he forced his lips on hers, silencing her in an instant. She reached her hands to shove him off when he grabbed her wrists and pinned her arms above her head before leaning back.
  • "Don't fight so much. I'm your last chance." He chuckled as he shoved his knee between her legs. "Let it happen, Emily. I'll be a good husband to you." He said as he grabbed both her wrists with one hand to free the other. "I'll take care of you, Emily." He whispered as he used his free hand to try to separate her thighs as she pinned them tightly together in fear.
  • "Please stop.... I'm scared..." She breathed out with tears soaking her eyes.
  • Just like back then....
