CHAPTER 25

• "Back then?" Kelvin asked with raised brows as he stared at her. "Did the alpha and Luna mistreat you?"
• "No, they aren't really my biological parents, they just adopted me when I wasn't so little." She sighed as she bit into her lower lip, wondering if she was supposed to even be telling them the things she had tried to much to forget since she had come here. She had struggled to forget because it came haunting her like a nightmare, like an endless loop of consistent horrific thoughts without the slightest hope of ever escaping. It was a taunting darkness that always craved the thought to engulf her once more and take her back into the darkest pits, just to have fun watching her break from the inside out.
• "You were adopted?" He asked with raised brows, completely taken aback at the thought that the alpha and Luna did not just have a child of their own, instead, they decided to adopt Emily. Perhaps they had a problem having children of their own?
