- “Oh!” I whirl and rush away, tripping over my own feet. Somewhere behind me, while I scurry to the service counter, he sighs and chuckles under his breath. I stub my toe immediately and brace myself for the pain that follows, managing a small wince while facing the stacks of shelves built into the wall behind the counter. My grandparents were part of the generation who founded Silverhide, and my grandfather, being an illustrious man, founded their post office, which we run out of the fiber shop. I scan the shelves, gnawing my lip until it starts to get red and puffy, but finally find a familiar name. I take a deep breath to settle myself before sliding a bundle wrapped in brown paper from one of the shelves and turn to the prince. “For your mother?”
