• "He came here? That's surprising" Jaden walked to the cot and gently took my baby, whom we had named Onyx and he kissed her on the cheek. The baby's face squeezed as her eyes remained closed and her little hands in the air. "What did he come to do? And why didn't he stay?" He gently dropped her back and walked to where I sat on the bed.
• I had remained in a spot since Justin left, typically useless if you would ask me, but I haven't stopped thinking.
