• Chris tried again to catch up to Kasey. Since Leena sent the message that the handfast date had been decided on, she was beyond calming. “Sweetheart, come here.” He pointed to the spot right in front of him.
• She turned and came back down the hall. “I just want to go look some things up. I’ll need to start working on a gift for them.” She stopped a few feet from him and smiled. “It’s so wonderful! Leena has been so happy with Owen, and she deserves it. Now she’s going to be his wife!” She turned again.
• He laughed. “You have three months to figure out a gift. I’ll buy ten of everything if that’s what you want.”
