Chapter 34

• Somehow, Sunday morning had arrived, and it was time for brunch. Chris hadn’t had more than a few moments with Kasey since he had awakened with her in his arms a day earlier. He’d been busy most of the day before, working. When he’d finally wandered from the library, Kasey had been absorbed in rewrites the publisher was requesting.
• He lost count of how many times he’d wakened during the night, hoping she’d be there beside him again. He glanced at his watch. Was it too late to call everyone and tell them he wasn’t doing brunch?
• He had just reached the bottom of the stairs when Kasey came flying out of the kitchen at top speed.
