Chapter 30

• Chris pulled into his driveway and smiled when he saw the beat-up little Jimmy truck. Just what I need after these long last few days, he thought, my Kasey. He didn’t like admitting, even to himself, how much he missed her when a few days went by without seeing or talking to her. He grabbed his briefcase and jacket as he glanced briefly at the doors all open on her car. Probably brought her whole house in one trip. He grinned as he got out of the car.
• He was reaching for the doorknob when she opened it and flew right into him. Dropping his briefcase and jacket quickly, he caught her to him before they both fell off the steps, and grinned down at her.
• “Whoa! Sorry!” She grinned up at him, “Didn’t see you.”
