Chapter 24 The Kidnappers

• Selene was back home, safe and sound. Her mother was worried about her because she came back late but seeing the look on her daughter’s face, she couldn’t make a fuss rather, she welcomed her home.
• It’s been a few days since the ball and Selene hasn’t been herself since then. Her mother had asked her consequently if she was okay. But her reply was always the same. Ruth knew that something must have happened and Selene telling her that Timothy, the male servant that was supposed to take care of her abandoned her and she had to take herself home, was an evidence that something did happen.
• Ruth decided to just allow her be, until she was ready to talk about it.
