• Jax walked her backward out of the bathroom, mouth still locked on hers. Sienna’s hands gripped the front of his shirt hard. Every step made the fresh tattoo on her back throb under the thin layer of ointment. He kept his body carefully angled so he never brushed the raw skin, one hand steady on her hip to guide her without pressure on the ink.
• They reached her bedroom. Jax kicked the door shut with his foot and backed her toward the bed. When the backs of her legs hit the mattress, he broke the kiss just long enough to look at her. His eyes were dark and hungry.
