Chapter 12 Austin Shows His Skills
- The five burly men were perplexed by the sudden turn of events.
- "Get him!" The leading middle-aged man commanded quickly.
- But before leaving, he glanced at Sandra in the car and sneered, "Miss Williams, you're too naive. That fool won't stand a chance against us."
- The men were well-trained bodyguards from the Sandler family, and Zachary had sent them to capture Wallace.
- Sandra was overwrought as she watched the five Sandler family bodyguards go after Wallace. "Austin, go help him."
- "Sandra, what about you?" Austin frowned.
- "Don't worry about me." Sandra turned pasty. "Zachary won't hurt me. He's after Wallace. So go!"
- Austin was the closest to Sandra among everyone else in the Williams family because they had grown up together, especially since they were only two years apart. So, he always listened to Sandra and dared not object to her resolute stance.
- After a sigh, he opened the car door. "Sandra, the fact that Mr. Sandler sent the bodyguards to catch Wallace today tells us how angry he is. Even if I manage to rescue Wallace this time, what about the next time?"
- Then he sprinted to catch up to Wallace. Sandra's body shook as she clenched the steering wheel.
- A red Ferrari Enzo roared two minutes later to a smooth stop behind the Audi A6. Then, Zachary exited the vehicle dressed in a custom white suit. "I'm sorry we had to meet again under such circumstances, Miss Williams," he said with a chivalrous smile. "It's your birthday and things shouldn't have come to this. Fortunately, it's all over now. How about I take you back to the hotel?"
- He motioned with his hands to invite her to his side. However, Sandra frowned at his gesture and replied coldly, "No need. I'm waiting for Austin."
- Then Zachary subtly retracted his hand, his smile unwavering while he added, "Sandra, let me be honest. Even if you don't divorce Wallace today, you'll have to do it tomorrow. Besides, I will certainly destroy Wallace tonight. But don't worry, his hands will be fine because I need them to sign the divorce papers."
- Sandra's heart sank, her grip on the steering wheel tightening.
- Noticing her reaction, Zachary paused before continuing, "The marriage between the Williams family and Sandler family is a settled matter. That fool will only sever the goodwill between our families if he's not dealt with. So, you should just come back with me." He then made another inviting gesture after he finished speaking. I'll have this exceptional woman tonight, no matter what. All the women I wanted have never escaped me over the years. Sandra won't be an exception.
- But unbeknownst to him, Austin had watched everything in a dense forest behind him. "Scumbag."
- Wallace was standing beside him, looking quite unfazed. He shook his head and sighed. "Using family interests to coerce and entice. What a scumbag.
- "Austin, don't you have any thoughts about that scumbag bullying your sister?"
- Crack. Austin clenched his fist tightly. However, he suddenly seemed to remember something and glanced at Wallace. What's up with him today? It's like he's a different person.
- "Wallace, how did you manage to shake them off?" Austin questioned skeptically.
- He thought that the bodyguard from the Sandler family had captured Wallace when he caught up to them. So, he planned to distract the bodyguards to create an opportunity for Wallace to run away. But he saw Wallace walking toward him before he even caught up to him as though he just went on a walk.
- "What do you mean by shaking them off? I didn't see anyone coming after me, so I came back." Wallace smiled before his expression turned grave. "I told you to protect your sister. Why're you still talking to me?"
- Austin's heart skipped a beat. Then he looked ahead. He really wanted to save Sandra but became hesitant when he recalled Zachary's identity.
- Zachary was the legitimate son of the Sandler family. So, offending him would bring disaster to the Williams family.
- "I..." Austin was troubled. He couldn't make up his mind.
- "You're so pathetic," Wallace scorned before striding forward.
- "Why you…!" Austin instinctively wanted to fight back at Wallace after being insulted by him.
- But before he could make a move, Wallace said without looking back, "Remember this. Family must be protected at all costs. If anyone dares to bully your family, you fight back no matter who they are."
- Boom!
- After being provoked multiple times, Austin couldn't help but growl despite not wanting to escalate things. He then marched toward Zachary.
- At this moment, Zachary was still smiling while looking at Sandra warmly. He didn't mind that she was still staying in the car as he rather enjoyed watching his prey struggle.
- Suddenly, he heard rapid footsteps and turned around to see Austin charging at him furiously. "Are you trying to hit me?" he mocked him.
- Austin halted in his tracks as he came back to his senses. In the end, he stood around six feet away from him.
- Mr. Sandler hasn't touched Sandra. If I make a move, it'll create trouble. As he thought of that, he forced a strained smile and began speaking, "Mr. Sandler..."
- Smack!
- However, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his left hand before he finished speaking. And his left hand seemed to be out of his control as it slapped Zachary hard again.
- This sudden action dumbfounded everyone. Sandra stared at Austin in shock, but Zachary was the one most in shock.
- Zachary licked his lips and spat out blood as he felt the burning sensation on his cheek. He glared at Austin. "Did you… just hit me?"
- Austin shivered involuntarily. He couldn't comprehend what had just happened. He wanted to explain as he noticed Zachary's murderous glare, but his legs moved on their own again.
- And then...
- Thump!
- Zachary received a blow to his abdomen before he realized it. Fortunately, he didn't fall to the ground with the Audi behind him. But before he could respond, Austin jumped up and delivered a knee strike to his chest.
- Thud!
- Zachary couldn't take it anymore after the consecutive strikes and spat out a mouthful of blood. After being repeatedly struck, Zachary felt a sweet sensation in his throat and uncontrollably spewed out a mouthful of blood.
- What… Austin was stunned. He was horrified as he watched Zachary vomit blood after being beaten by himself.
- Did I... just beat up the young master of the Sandler family?
- "Well done!" At this moment, Wallace popped up out of nowhere and began clapping. He looked at Zachary and gloated, "Oh, Mr. Sandler, you didn't expect this, did you? Isn't Austin a good fighter?"
- Everyone's expression changed at his words. Sandra quickly got out of the car and rushed toward Austin. "Austin, what're you doing?"
- Austin screwed up tonight.
- No one dared disrespect Zachary in Rosetown, let alone beat him up.
- Sandra was on the verge of tears as she thought about the inevitable wrath of the Sandler family that would fall on the Williams family. "Austin, how can you be so rash?"
- Austin seemed to have realized something horrific, too. He trembled and said in despair, "Sandra..."
- However, Wallace suddenly raised his leg and kicked Zachary heavily when Sandra and Austin least expected it.
