• Sienna lay on her side, facing Kael in the big guest bed. The storm outside was loud, but the room felt strangely quiet. Only the sound of rain on the roof and their breathing filled the air. The bed was warm, but Sienna still felt a little cold. She shivered slightly under the blanket.
• Kael noticed right away. “You are shivering,” he said softly. “Come here.”
• He moved closer and gently pulled her toward him. Sienna did not resist. She moved into his arms. Kael wrapped one strong arm around her waist and pulled her against his chest. His body was very warm. Sienna could feel the heat through his thin t-shirt. Her head rested near his shoulder. Their legs touched under the blanket.
