• The airplane cabin was quiet, the sound of the engines a distant hum as I nestled deeper into plush seat. After I left Ethan, Liam gave me a little sedative to help me sleep a little and ease my troubled heart. The little sedative Liam had given me worked wonders, lulling me into a peaceful slumber while memories of Ethan and the ache in her heart faded into the background.
• I slept off on the plane, and when the plane touched down, when I finally woke up, we had arrived at a beautiful mansion that took my breath away. I stirred, blinking against the soft light that poured through the window. As I stepped outside, my breath caught in my throat.
