Chapter 63 She Is Pregnant

• "Good morning. Please sit," said the doctor with the name tag Poppy as soon as Anna and Rebecca entered the room. She was in her forties because there were a few wrinkles in the corner of her eyes. "Can I help you?" Poppy asked after her prospective patient sat in front of her. She stared at them in turn, waiting to see who spoke first.
• "So, doctor," Rebecca hung her sentence, still trying to figure out how to say what she had in mind. "I took a test with the pregnancy test kit. And it showed two lines. So here I am." She didn't want to reveal her conclusion even though it was stated in the package. She seemed to want to be careful about it.
• The doctor listened carefully to her explanation and smiled understandingly. "Okay. Let's check using ultrasound to see for sure." Then she gestured for her to lie down on the bed. With the nurse's help, they began preparations for the ultrasound test, such as lifting her clothes and applying gel to her stomach.
