Chapter 26
- My back had hit the wall, the tiny stones it contained biting into my spine. The pain took my breath away. I fought to move away, but too late. A circle of burning agony formed around the fragile bones in my hand. I stared up at him, horrified.
- "I didn't mean to." He released my hand quickly, and it hit the wall, which hurt even worse. "Hey, don't stare at me like I attacked you or something. You can't just stand up and fuck off in the middle of an adult conversation, Klaus."
- The ache still throbbed all over my wrist.
