Chapter 21 Trouble Is Brewing
- As Clyde and Willa approached Clyde's house, they were aghast to witness the chaotic scene unfolding from afar. Strewn across the ground were the contents of Clyde's home. To make matters worse, Clyde's mother lay in a foul sewer outside the gate, blocked from climbing out by a menacing bodyguard.
- In the yard, Fiona and several men observed from a distance. Fiona, holding a handkerchief to her mouth disdainfully, issued orders with contempt evident in her voice. "Harold, ensure your men keep a close watch on her and prevent her from escaping," she commanded.
- Harold, a tall, wiry young man with fiery red hair, grinned smugly. "Don't worry, she won't go anywhere," he assured. "Do you think that coward will dare to return? Perhaps he's too frightened and doesn't dare to return."
