Chapter 7 Escape

  • Escape
  • Saved And Hated By The Gang Lord
  • Madison's P O V
  • I made to continue walking when his voice halted me.
  • "Stop right there." I stopped in my tracks instantly. Why is that man calling me? He doesn't seem any different from Enzo. Why is he bothering me? For goodness sake, I could curse him.
  • I felt him stand up from his seat. Wait, is he coming for me? Why, what does he want from me? I wondered as I kept standing there, still vouching for him not to come further.
  • He got behind me and stopped. "Turn," He ordered. I slowly turned to face him at his orders.
  • His fingers were tucked into his trouser pocket as he stared roughly at me.
  • "Why do you look so familiar? Or are you purposely hiding from me?" He came behind me and stood —Okay. What is he? A pervert?
  • Enzo just sat down there watching us without uttering a word, and his bored eyes were dark as he watched us.
  • "You know me, right?" The man's baritone voice sounded closer this time. Closer to my ear, I felt his hot breath hit my neck.
  • I made to move away but figured out it might put me in trouble. I felt the man's hand hold my waist from behind, making me gasp. My breathing became fast as his hand traveled from my waist up to my stomach. I stared at Enzo to find him still staring at us without emotions.
  • Is he going to allow his friend to do anything to me? Please, I hope that's not the case. I hope he stops this man before he goes far.
  • "Don't you speak?" The man comprehended behind me, and his hand traveled up again to my breast this time. I groaned as he squeezed me there.
  • I wish I could kill him. I want to kill him. This man! I can't believe nightmare Enzo is just staring at us like nothing is wrong with what his friend is doing.
  • "I...I don't know you, sir." I forced the words out of my mouth.
  • "But you look so familiar. You ran away from me, didn't you?" The man left me, and he stood in front of me again.
  • "No, I didn't," I answered, my voice firm as I glared at him.
  • "This one looks interesting." The man chuckled and turned to face Enzo.
  • "Enzo, what do you think?" He asked.
  • "She didn't escape from you, Luca. She was one of Santiago's girls, so there is no way she could have escaped from you." For the first time, I heard Enzo speak out in my defense.
  • "Really? Okay, I believe you. Why don't you sell one of them to me?" The man asked, staring at me again.
  • "One of them?" Enzo questioned, grabbing a cup filled with wine.
  • "Yes, this one or even the two of them." The man pointed to me Anna and me.
  • "I need more girls at the club. I'm willing to pay you a good price if you could sell one of them to me." The man smirked as he proposed.
  • Enzo turned to glance at Anna, who I think is silently hoping that Enzo doesn't sell her. She has that look on her face.
  • "This one, I wish I could, but I don't own her. The girl is just here for her father, and I don't have absolute right over her." Enzo supplied.
  • Immediately I saw Anna let out a deep breath. Huh, she is relieved. Geez, she meant what she said to me earlier. She must be crazy.
  • "Okay then, what of this young elegance here. I feel her face will make men wait in line for her. She is young and beautiful." The man asked again with a hopeful gleam in his eyes.
  • Enzo took a sip from his cup before turning to glance at me. No emotion. His face held nothing. —Is he going to sell me? Is he going to agree? I think he has full right over me.  But should I be happy? I feel like I'll be going from one hell to another.
  • "No. Not! She is mine alone. I can't give her away." He made emphasis on every word. The hopeful gleam in the man's eyes died down at Enzo's reply.
  • But wait. What did he say? Am I his alone? Does that mean I'm stuck with him for life? Does that mean I'll never regain my freedom? I'll be his forever?
  • "But...why Enzo? We...we have been friends for long..." The man gave Enzo a childish look, like an errant child.
  • "That's exactly why I'm letting you know the truth, Luca. Because we have been friends for a long time, that's the reason why I told you the truth. You can ask this one. If she wants to follow you, I won't stop her. But this one can't, and she's mine alone to handle." He decanted wine into his wine glass as he explained.
  • "No! I don't want to follow him. I want to stay here please, don't let him take me." Anna pleaded from her corner.
  • Luca doesn't look pleased with Enzo's answer, he seems annoyed, but I saw him gulp it down over a glass of wine.
  • "It's okay—the one I want, since you can't give her to me. I'll meet another bidder. Here I came thinking all the young bitches you took from Santiago are still under your control, and I didn't know you already returned each of them to their parent's house." I heard him sigh again.
  • Wait! Did I hear correctly? Did he return all the other girls from Santiago's prison-house home? But what am I still doing with him? Why didn't he return me home too? Why?
  • He kept me with him and treated me like I was his property. Like I'm an item. Well, I think I'm also slowly coming to terms with that, but since he returned the other girls, he should have also returned me home.
  • "Those girls are innocent, Luca. They are too young to run your show." I heard Enzo say.
  • The man, Luca, laughed, "Says the ruthless and scary mafia, Enzo Emilio. Hahaha!" He laughed so hard.
  • "Leave!" With one effective order, I left the sitting compartment to my room with speed.
  • Oh, I'm so relieved that I'm no longer standing in front of them. I don't know the worst one, Luca or Enzo. They both seem scary and dangerous. I laid down and curled myself up in the bed, and I closed my eyes, trying to get thoughts of what happened minutes ago off my mind when a knock came to my door, followed by a push.
  • "Madison, are you asleep?" A servant asked to get in. "No," I sat up and answered.
  • "Okay, Master Enzo has asked-"
  • "What?" I didn't let her complete her sentence before bursting out.
  • Oh no, is he going to do it with me again? Is he going to force himself on me again? Oh no, that's the reason I never wanted him to see me. I wouldn't say I like all this. I hate him. I hate my life.
  • "Um...master Enzo has asked for you to dress up and come down. I think he is taking you with him somewhere." The servant completed her words.
  • I turned to look at her. "Are you sure it's down? Are you sure he doesn't want me in his room?" I questioned, wide eyes.
  • "No, he is down, and he gave five minutes. He wants you down in five minutes." The servants added before leaving my room.
  • "Five minutes," I chanted in my head as I took up the only dress I've not worn that's in the closet and put it on.
  • The dress is pretty short and revealing, but I have no choice because there aren't many clothes to wear. I put it on instantly and went downstairs to see him standing in front of the entrance.
  • Is he waiting for me? I strolled and stood behind him without uttering a word. He noticed me but didn't turn to look at me. He proceeded out of the house and into a car opened for me. He sat down, and the man holding the door for him made to close the door.
  • "What are you doing?" He barked at him.
  • "Let her in!" He ordered.
  • The man immediately opened the front side for me and told me to enter. I got in and sat down beside the driver.
  • "Come back here." He growled again, making my heart bounce. Does he have to be so hard with his words? Can't he talk calmly? I got down from the car and turned to the other side. I opened the door and sat down beside him but made sure not to contact him.
  • But where is he taking me to? To sell me? Had he changed his mind? Has he decided to sell me? I don't know if I should be happy or sad about it.
  • I hope, if he tells me, I'll at least live happily there, although I highly doubt it. If he sells me to Luca, with the way, Luca touched and stared at me the other day. I'm afraid he will do more harm to me than Enzo.
  • After a long quiet drive, we finally pulled up in front of a big building, very large and wide.
  • "Wow," a wow escaped my lips at the size of the building. People are coming in and out of the building.  I've forgotten a lot of things since I was in captivity. I wonder what here is named.
  • The men that followed Enzo and me led the way into the vast building. There are clothes and shoes everywhere, and there are people everywhere. So many people! And they are staring at us.
  • Wow! It's been so long, so long for me, I can't remember when last I came to this kind of house. What is it called again? Is it a mall or what?
  • "Good evening Mr. Emilio. We are so glad to have you." A female worker ran up to us and stopped. A massive smile was plastered on her face.
  • "Where is Beatrice?" He demanded.
  • "I want Beatrice." The smile on the lady's face chops down.
  • "I'll...I'll get her for you, sir." The lady left. Two seconds later, a lady ran towards us.
  • "Mr. Emilio, I'm so sorry. I was busy attending to a customer and didn't know when you arrived, I-”
  • "Cut the crap. I don't need it, and you know why I'm here." Enzo rudely interrupted her.
  • She smiled. "Yes, sir. I know why you are here." She then turned to look at me. Her eyes took in my size. She looked up and smiled again. “We have her size, and they are numerous." She told.
  • Huh, does he want to buy clothes for me? Really? I stared at him as the lady demanded I follow her.
  • "You two, stay with her." I heard Enzo instruct before he started heading towards the entrance. I turned and watched as he exited the building.
  • The two men he told to watch me kept gawking at me like I was going to escape.
  • Wait, escape? Can't I? I can run right? That's a great idea, and with the number of people going in and out of here. They won't find me easily. Goodness! That's awesome. I guess he did me right by bringing me to a place crowded with humans. I could easily ask one of them to help me.
  • Yeah. I could, and I will.
  • "Miss, follow me." I heard the lady, Beatrice, yell slightly to me. A smile lit up my face as I followed Beatrice while Enzo's men followed me.
  • We got to a section full of female wears. Beatrice asked Enzo's men to wait by a side while she took me around through the clothes section there. She could bring out one and measure it on me.
  • "Do you like this one?" She asked. I was about to reply when she said, "oh, I forgot I'm not allowed to ask you." She breathed out and continued picking out clothes for me.
  • They all look beautiful and revealing if you ask me. I bet they were all so expensive, but I am not usually the one that handles that now.  I need to escape from here. His men are just standing by a corner. I could take this way and run. I can escape from him now.
