Chapter 31 Annoying Junior

• When the lecture finally ended two hours later, Rose linked arms with Pearl and practically dragged her toward the school cafeteria, she was so excited to see Miguel she could barely stand still. But when they walked through the door, her smile vanished in a flash. There he was, sitting at their favorite corner table, laughing loud with a girl Pearl had never seen before. The junior student was leaning way too close to him, her hand resting on his shoulder like she belonged there.
• Rose’s whole body went stiff with anger, and she marched over to the table, her voice sharp and loud enough for half the cafeteria to hear.
• “What in the world is going on here? Laughing and giggling with a junior like you’ve got nothing better to do?”
