Chapter 32

• Sarah took a long shower and dressed appropriately for dinner. Finally João Mackerson had allowed electricity to arrive at the farm, which made life much easier for everyone there.
• Already ready, she opened the window to get some fresh air and saw in the distance two men on horses arriving at the big house. Certainly in one was John and in the other Lone Silver.
• She looked up the hill, where the sun was setting in orange tones. He knew that there were Tristan and his son and he hoped that they would give him the strength to endure whatever was to come. He felt a pain in his chest, missing Lia. She really wanted the nanny at that moment, to listen to her anxieties and give her advice. Lia should never have felt guilty about Sandy's death. There was only one person to blame for everything: John Mackerson. He was responsible for all the pain Sarah carried in her chest and heart.
