• With shaky hands, she pressed the play button and Wes’s face popped up on the screen. On the bottom part of the screen, the date showed that it was filmed in late August last year. Wes looked tired and disheveled, with bags under his eyes. His skin was pale and frail, and his eyes were empty. He was alive then, but he looked like a walking zombie.
• “Hey, world. Hey, everyone. It’s me, Wes,” he waved lazily to the camera.
