• He got up instantly and grabbed my face with both hands, pulling me towards him. I let out a little gasp as his lips crashed into mine, rough and deep. Outside the room, we could hear people cheering and shouting ‘Happy New Year’ and the fireworks were blasting in the air. I didn’t know if it was the fireworks or if it was my heart, but something was exploding definitely.
