• I was seated beside Alpha Enzo in his black-tinted car. His driver was taking us to the boutique where I would get new clothes, shoes, and bags. As the car drove, I focused my attention on the window, my mind swelling with thoughts. I was anxious and scared about this contract, and somehow, I was starting to regret it. I knew I had just walked into the lion's den. Alpha Enzo was so eager to have me, and it would be just a matter of a few hours—just a few hours from now, my virginity would be taken by the same man who had caused me nothing but pain. I wished there was a way I could kill him before he touched me, but I knew that was impossible. To be able to poison his meal or drink, I’d have to get close to him, make him trust me—but how could I even do that?
