• I sat in a quiet cafe by the market. My fingers tapped the side of my untouched coffee cup. Where was he? Every second made my patience wear thin. I moved around the chair sliding a little on the uneven stones beneath me. It wasn’t like Elder Lucius to be late, especially after all the money I had put into this crazy plan.
• A shadow passed over the table, and I looked up quickly. There he was, Elder Lucius sitting down across from me. He didn’t seem rushed, and he didn’t have the sense of urgency I really needed from him. Instead, he smiled and nodded at me like we were old friends sharing tea.
