• "I've had enough!" I barked, slamming my fist on the desk. "Get out!" My secretary, bless her, knew better than to take it personally. Our family connection spared her the brunt of my temper. Otherwise, she'd have joined the long list of employees who'd fled Armstrong Corp.
• It unraveled two years ago: The Redstone deal, our ticket to the big leagues, imploded. I couldn't place my finger on exactly where the disaster began. One minute we were poised to make it big, the next our bosses yanked the plug, and I was left bewildered and infuriated.
