• The family doctor arrived at Adela’s place and checked Herbie’s temperature. It was a mild fever, nothing too serious, so she was given an injection to help bring it down. After making sure she was settled in bed, Adela finally stepped out of the bedroom. The doctor had already left, but to her surprise, Layson was still there.
