• Dexter took Ralph back home. He knew Layson didn’t want them staying at the hospital any longer, so he had practically pushed them out. Ralph sulked the entire car ride, clearly unhappy about leaving. He had wanted to stay by Layson’s side, but his father had been firm about sending him home. No matter how much he protested, Layson was even more stubborn.
