• It was a few minutes past midnight when Luis arrived home. The day has been long and tiring. He and some men went to the border town where the ambush happened and got some surveillance footage and witnesses. Some forensic experts checked the car to see if it was tampered with. It was past 5:30 pm when they finally left the location. But on the way back, Luis handed over the investigation to the gang leader and took a detour to the hospital.
• Even though it hasn't been 24 hours yet, his father's vitals were stable, and he has been transferred to his private ward. Their grandparents arrived and insisted Martina and Clara go home and return the next day. They convinced Lucy and her daughter too.
• At the parking lot, Luis asked Clara to ride in his car. He finally broke the silence in the car after watching his nervous sister shift uncomfortably in the seat and fidget with her fingers for a while.
