Chapter 86
- YILENA HOLT POV
- Amelia was pointing a gun straight at my face, and the crazy smile stretching across her lips told me everything I needed to know. She was unstable. Completely fucking unstable. And with the way she was now, I knew if I made one wrong move, said the wrong thing, or even looked at her the wrong way, I had a feeling she wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.
- "You know, I kind of knew you were going to stab me in the back, Yilena," she got out, her eyes moving from Helena to mine. "You always had that look in your eyes like you knew I was crazy and couldn't wait to be rid of me." Her lips curled into a small smile, but there was nothing warm about it. If anything, it made her look even more deranged, like she was enjoying watching me squirm beneath the weight of the gun.
