• Still seated in the car, Cassius let out a small scoff, his lips curling at the side as his gaze shifted to the little white shopping bag tucked next to him on the seat. He reached for it slowly, unwrapping it with a kind of carefulness that showed he actually cared. Inside it was a pendant, stone-like, simple, but beautiful in its own way. It was meant for Aura. And he wasn’t going to leave without giving it to her.
• “She’s such a handful,” he mumbled under his breath, sighing as he opened the car door and stepped out into the cold night air.
• The breeze slapped gently against his face, but he didn’t mind. His eyes stayed fixed on the building just across the road.
